(Not Quite) Wordless Wednesday: It's a LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Story

On Sunday Taylor came to town.

The girls Love Story over Taylor is Forever and Always.

It's especially way over the top exciting when she shows up where you are sitting to sing. And you see her this close.
Crazy big smile on the face excited when she smiles at you and touches your hand.

Then she sings a few more songs right in front of you.

But, even this crazy Fearless five year old girl can only take so much tween screaming. There is hope for us yet.

Shots of Saturday: A New Posting Run

Each Saturday, I'll post a few of my favorite shots from our game- or whatever else we might be doing. This week it is football, 23 is still my boy!

and again, it's been too long

This time I blame the rain. Yip. Just like Milli Vanilli. I mean 15 days of rain in a month that's not even over will do that to ya. I've been in another writing funk. I've also been working on a new website. But mostly I've just been a funk.

Gavin is doing well at football. He's liking it best when he practices at linebacker. If you've seen him you know why that is stinking hilarious. School is very much a challenge for us all right now. Mrs. Wertz is very missed. We continue to pray for her and her family.

Grayce is adoring school and her teachers and her friends, new and old. This week she's been sick- still is. Going into day 5 of fever. She is beside herself about missing school. Has begged me on many occassion's to go the last few days. I'm remembering this for later when she has teenaged angst or whatever.

As many of you have wondered, this is my first year with both kiddos at school. l've been busy with making shirts & taxi-ing kids & monogramming bags and making more shirts to fill my time. I'm also the team mom for football and the homeroom mom for Grayce's class. But also I have signed up to substitute at school. I'm not done with the process, so I don't have any exciting info to share yet. Yes, I've already questioned my sanity.

I'm hoping some sunshine can lift the funk soon. But- I'm still waiting for that in a healthy dose. At least I know moving to Seattle would be a really bad idea for me. That's all I got from this, folks.

Brad Paisley, Yep.

So, last night I was twittering and I see something about @paisleyoffical- which does not even say to me "Brad Paisley". But I was intriguied and figured out it was him. Or at least looked like his account. The chatter on his stream looked as though it could be real, so I sent a silly tweet-[ajsouthern I was thinkin' @paisleyofficial was a drapery & bedspread judge of some sort. But no. It belongs to teh Brad.about 10 hours ago from TwitterFon] thinking if it was him, he wouldn't respond anyway- as most celebs do not. Unless, they want on my all important Cool Celeb's that Twitter list. And, I know they must be crazy not to want on my list. Lo and behold, I see this, this AM:
paisleyofficial I am. Very judgemental about paisley patterns. RT@ajsouthern: I was thinkin' @paisleyofficial was a drapery & bedspread judge of some sort.about 7 hours ago from TwitterFon

So, then, well- I have to investigate the realness before I get all excited. And I go to HIS official website this AM and see my little name on the front page of it. Right up there. Brad Paisely, yep. Add him to the list.

On another note of absolutely NO relation:

I have been out of blog pocket even more than my usual absence lately because of the tragic events of the past week. Please continue to keep the Wertz family in your prayers. If you've been following my tweets and FB then you know how tough it has been. There is a whole post about it somewhere in me, but I can't find it right now.

And so...

(Crazy girls. They lurve each other so much, its painful.)

(Here's the boy in the last scrimmage)
...the blog didn't live for long did it? I've lost the mojo. I've been doing too much other stuff to sit in here and write. I need a laptop back. I need some motivation. I should just post my twitter feed here. I'm tired. My sinus hurt. Is that enough? Because I can find more.

Here's an update in a nutshell: Football is in full swing. First game is this weekend. I think I've found a gymnastics class for Grayce. But, it won't start till 9/8. The pageant she wants to do is 9/19. EEEK. We might not be ready for that. We have had back to school night for both kids. Gavin's teacher seems very nice and REALLY likes homework. Oh yipee. Grayce's teacher is very nice and is artsy, has also sent homework, though she said it was optional. I don't know. If it's written down to check off I don't feel its optional. I'm sure we'll surivive somehow.

So, feel free to comment on your school year so far or just comment. I would generally promise to write more at this point, but we know how that's been turning out.

Back to School....The Blog Lives!

Yesterday I sent the babies back to school. My new 4th grader and Kindergartener.

They both said they had a great first day, so hoping the year goes just as well.

The even stopped to pose with some sibling love. Ahem. It was short lived.

Here is Grayce telling her teacher, Mrs. Haughey something. It sounds like H-OY, as in Chips of A-, Julie Hoey or sounds like Devon or Shelby McGaughey. Did you know you can come here for phonics?
I got limited shots in the classroom. I was lucky to even be there. Grayce made it perfectly clear she wanted to go in by herself because she knew where to go! No such luck, as I followed anyway!

Gavin is next door & has Mrs. Wertz. Like Hertz. (Ha.)
He is in a new building this year. His classroom is at the end of the earth (kind of hard to find if you've only been there once like us!). He was worried enough to ask me to walk him in, but wanted to know if other mom's were walking in also. I told him I'd ask on Facebook. It was totally split- you all were no help! He was a slow mover that morning and with all the traffic we were running behind. I'm so glad he saw his friend Parker walking in as I approached the door. He hopped out without another thought about it. Whew!

Everyone was sure tired after school and had a nap! Both kids rode the bus today, so I am hoping they all found where to go. It sure beats that morning drop off traffic. As long as they are willing, the bus works for me :-)

And, that brings me to: The Blog, it lives on! I shall resume my normal writing routine. Just like in the fall when TV comes back!
