Ok, so here's proof that Santa came to visit our living room. I know some of you got the 411 from me via Mom Blogs that you could do this capture the magic business on a pro site. And, that is all well and good....and I almost paid my $9.95- until I recalled I have the abilities to do it myself. Anywho- Christmas Eve, the kids and I "set-up" the camera on motion sensor. Yah, we don't really have that feature- so I am toast if anyone asks me to use it later. It worked and voila, here he is. Husband thinks he is much shorter than he imagined. I say, we have a big tree. The kids weren't analyzing it that much...they weren't even shocked really. I guess that means we haven't blown cover or no mean bully has ruined it yet. Besides, if questioned- I have always replied, if you don't believe then there are no gifts. That works great.

34...the new 62
Ok, this is crossing the line. This is the 3rd piece of mail directed to a Senior Citizen I have gotten in the last 2 weeks. Wha? I am racking my brain about what I did or bought that might classify me in the age range for an AARP card and a Senior census. This doesn't do much as a confidence booster.

I'm Back... Sort Of
I have been sick, better, and re-sick. I don't even want to tell you how it looks like Christmas threw up over here.
But, it does. And I haven't the energy to clean it up yet. The kids are enjoying it all- especially Grayce and her new DS, Gavin and Dad with the Wii and Wii Fit- and me with my new iPod Touch. It's the bomb. I will be back in full force soon!

Under the Weather & Melted Candy...
Sorry I haven't posted in several days...that is to all 10 or so of you who read this daily. After sending the kids back to school for 2 whole days before 2 whole weeks of break- I was a little busy playing catch up and spending a lot of time up at school for partay's and programs. And now I am sick. And cold. Cause I don't like highs in the 20's.
Before I took the fever, we ventured to try the hard candy melting into ornaments project. It was not as easy as the Neely's lead you to believe on Food Network. But, the kids had fun.
And, they wanted to eat them, not hang them. So, whatever. I don't care. I must go lay down again, before I pass out.

Getting in the Spirit!
This weekend we spent doing some very Christmassy things! We decorated cookies. We used A LOT of red icing.
I am just noting that today we are also out of school! Which was unexpected. I should have waited on this activity for today. But, you never know around here. I mean yesterday it was 75 in the afternoon. By about 7 or 8pm it was down in the 20's with windchills in the single digits. Then the "light freezing drizzle" became A LOT of very loud sleet. And people wonder why we are always ill with head colds around here. There isn't anything quite like weather in Oklahoma!
Anywho- before the wicked cold came- Saturday night we went and walked thru the lights of Rhema. I have lived here forever and have never walked thru them. It was beautiful and amazing. I mean, that is A LOT of lights. A LOT. I highly recommend the walk if you are close by! The kids loved it. Maybe, a little too much- as I was having to "scream" at them quite often to listen and walk, and not get off the sidewalk. But, it was so exciting for them they could hardly stand it.
They flipped!
