Monday Sports Report & MORE

Over the weekend, I knitted Grayce this hat and crocheted her this scarf...no I am not kidding.
She is very cute wearing them too. If it weren't 72 degrees out, she might get to use them!

Also on the weekend, Grayce painted some art to add to the mantle in the family room. Gavin painted the larger "red" canvas behind when he was about 4. She painted the little one there. They are very 'abstract' talents.

And finally- the sports report...you can read the trophy on your own. Per dad's report, he didn't do to badly for only attending about 3 practices. I am a woman of few words today. I have about 912 things to do now... this is a very busy week.

PS EVERYONE should buy the Travis Cottrell Christmas CD! www.traviscottrell.com

New Sport to Report

Come Monday, there will be a new Southern Mama sports report.

Three guesses as to what.

This is the boy's 5th year. He is eight. Do the math.

He was sure he wasn't going to this year. Last Thursday, he changed his mind. His dad was holding his breath. The dad LOVES it. The mom still doesn't get it. The sister could care less. The outfit is new and cool, though. So we made him model it. Oh, yes, he was thrilled.

Are you ready for the news?

Today I am launching my new store & shopping site...just in time for Christmas. For those that don't know, I do have a screenprinting, embroidery & graphic business that I run from home. I do many orders locally for sports teams, but also do a lot of personalizing business. The link to the site is: http://withasouthernflair.blogspot.com/. Please visit and let me know what you think. I am working on opening an Etsy account in conjunction, but items can be ordered from the site too. I do use Paypal for invoicing.

Sorry for lack o' posts....

I am working on something 'big'- so I have not had as much Southern blogging time. I will share more soon. It would also help if the IT people at my internet provider were not idiots.

Back in business soon (x2)....

The First and Only...

No. Not kid. This is the first and only politically centered post- of which I am posting ONLY because it is very funny.

Scenario: I am helping Grayce at the computer. Every week she has a Letter of the Week. So, we go to clip art online and I find all the words she is telling me she remembers that start with that letter. Tonight it was "P", but that doesn't have anything to do with my story. MSN is the home page now because of my computer issues- and I haven't changed it to anything I normally have up. On our way past MSN, Grayce notices something.

Grayce: "Hey, that dark man next to the white face man. He winned"
Me: Yes.
Grayce: So, now he is the king.
Me: No, Grayce, he is the President elect.
Grayce: No, mama. He is now the king. Bok Bam is the king, he winned.
Me: Actually its Barack Obama and he's the...
Grayce: Just cut out the P's now, so I can glue.

Clearly, I was annoying the reigning 4 year old spokeswoman of the new royals.
disclaimer: The Southern Mama did not post this as for or against the new President Elect. The Southern Mama will remain completely neutral and does not wish to debate or have crazy political comments left for her to have to delete. Thank you. The end.

Computer update: I fixed my computer today. Myself. Who's the IT mama, now? The "senior" IT man still hasn't even called me back. I took matters into my own hands. Walll-aa! Or Voila! However you want it.
